How to Get Admission in BAMS through NEET

 BAMS and other major medical courses are counselled at the state level by the Karnataka Government. This State Level Counseling is open to all applicants who have appeared for NEET and want to get BAMS Admission in Bangalore.

BAMS Eligibility Criteria:


  • Candidates should pass 10+2 or any the equivalent examination from any recognized boards
  • They should score at least score 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • They should have completed 17 years of age and age should not be more than 25 years of age.
  • They should appear in NEET Entrance exams.


What is the Admission Process for BAMS?


* Here are the few steps of the admission process for BAMS

* Candidates who are interested in this subject and want to take admission should register in advance.

* They can apply through the official website of the respective colleges.

* Some colleges accept BAMS Direct Admission, and those colleges do not require entrance exams.

* For the rest of the colleges, candidates can apply by filling the application form with all important details and making sure all information is correct.

* After filling the form they will have to submit it. And for future reference, they should get a hard copy of the form.


Documents Required for Counselling:


* Date of birth certificate

* NEET Admit card Marksheet and Passing Certificate

* Aadhar Card

* At least 5 Recently captured Coloured Passport Size Photo

* Category certificate (any)

* Matriculation (10th) certificate

* 12th or equivalent exam certificates

* Rank card

* Domicile certificate


Admission Procedure for Outstation/ Foreign Students:

* Interested candidates from other states and foreign students should attach along with the application, an eligibility certificate from Christ University of Health Sciences, Bangalore

* For foreign students clearance certificate is needed to be obtained from Ministry of Human Resources Development,Government of India, New Delhi.

* They need to acquire a no objection certificate from RGUHS, Bangalore, in case of candidates having other qualification not mentioned in the prospectus as equivalent of Karnataka State P.U.C Examination.

* They need to produce a regular student Visa/ Long Term Visa issued by the office of the DG, Bangalore and a copy of medical Screening.



NTA, the conducting body of the entrance exam NEET has not yet declared any official dates, still, NEET 2021 enrollments maycommence shortly.

There are not all colleges in Karnataka that require the BAMS Entrance Exam. Private BAMS colleges may offer 15% of their total allotted seats for direct admission, according to the CcIM (Central Council of Indian Medicine).

Those interested in studying Ayurveda can apply to Karnataka Ayurvedic colleges after high school or as transfer students. Studying at an Ayurvedic college provides students with a practical, interactive medical education that is based on traditional medical practices.

BAMS students in Karnataka study metaphysical aspects of Ayurveda, modern anatomy and physiology, medical chemistry and pharmacy, ayurvedic pharmacology, pathology, diagnostic procedures, etc.
